URBAN DESIGN MASTERPLAN | LONDON, UK

Extending London

The design project, “Extending London” explored what the right scale of development would be and studied how the site could be an extension to London’s growth through low-rise high-density development. It tested the numbers proposed by the Greater London Authority and questioned the character and scale of the development thus formed.

This project formed part of the Joint Cambridge-Berkeley UrbanDesign Charrette, a collaboration between students of UC Berkeley and the University of Cambridge, to develop a master plan for Old Oak and Park Royale Development Corporation, UK’s largest regeneration project by the Greater London Authority (GLA).
